During her 20-minute interview with SEATV, Ms. Keo Keang introduced the audience to Heifer's history, vision and mission and how Heifer Cambodia program works with community people to battle poverty and hunger and restore Cambodian social morality after decades of Cambodian civil war. With Heifer gifts and support, the community people have made a great change in terms of their lives and attitudes by applying the Heifer model and approach. She also addressed the challenges experienced during the program implementation and how to turn those challenges into successes.
“I encourage community people to help themselves first before others help them,” said Keo Keang at the end of her interview. She added, “I also encourage men to further support women's activities.
