the Information Computer School in Phnom Penh with the participation of Ms.
Yvonne Chong, Financial Assistant for the A/SP Program, as observer. Three modules brought into the training course included Sage AccPac ERP, PereSoft Cashbook, and Norming Asset Management. Mr. Lim Kea, Heifer Cambodia Finance Officer, said though the Accpac System had a little bit of complexity, it is easy to use for many financial transaction operations. Moreover, the system has a Database Dump and Load feature which is able to back up and store data. 2
“The training is good and very informative,” said Yvonne during her observation in the training course, adding, “The course finished one day earlier, giving a chance to the participants to ask questions and have more practice. The training benefits the financial staff with a lot of aspects that are useful for both the management and the team.” Yvonne also spent one day visiting Heifer’s project in Siem Reap Province where she was excited to see the community’s livelihood with livestock and knowledge provided by the program for food security and family income generation.
