Heifer Project Helps a Mother's
Dream Come True
Khom Youn is a mother of four sons and a member of a self-help group in the village of Promouy. She has participated in Heifer’s project in Promouy since 2006. Since joining the project, Khom
has received training and gifts, including a cow, vegetable
seeds and other agricultural materials.

The Value Literacy
Heifer Cambodia's Value Based Literacy Program aims to teach
illiterate women how to read and write, make basic math
calculations, and incorporate the 12 Cornerstones for Just and
Sustainable Development in their daily lives. The 12
Cornerstones are adapted by reflecting on each "stone" and its
power to improve their living conditions.

Heifer Project International- Cambodia (Heifer Cambodia), a
non-profit and humanitarian organization, is a branch program of
Heifer Project International (HPI) based in Little Rock, Arkansas,
USA. Heifer Cambodia has been active since 1984, primarily providing
supports of infrastructure and capacity building for animal health
and production sub-sector and veterinary diagnostic laboratory,
including the technical training, vaccination program and
Hemorrhagic Septicemia (HS) Vaccine Production Projects, in
partnership with American Friend Service Committee (AFSC) and Church
World Service (CWS). |
